Oh. My. God.
http://online.wsj.com/video/space-tourism-could-be-a-reality-in-2012/E78F75D6-D2A8-46C6-97A3-9C83FBA7D43C.html
Okay so while reading WSJ magazine, I came upon this article about Bruno Frisoni's new collection for Roger Vivier... And it's amazing!! It's crazy! Everything is so preeeetty hehe :) The pureness of the lines, the geometry, the colors, the Vivier spirit...it brings everything together and it makes the collection more than just the combination of beautiful pieces. I think that kind of collection is what shows that Viver is not just a brand, it's also really a state of mind, a way of living, a style. There is a Vivier woman just like there is a Saint Laurent woman, just like there is a Gaultier woman.
Enjoy the pictures!
Enjoy the pictures!
That coffee Shopper bag is my new favorite item!
I'm starting to think Roger Vivier's even better at bags than shoes. It is undeniable that Frisoni is a wonder at what he does anyway.

Very. Important. Shopping
I went to the Galeries Lafayette saturday to get some air after having been trapped for like 3 days. Honeslty, I didn't remember being sick sucked that much. Anywho. It's the fourth time I had gone there in 2 weeks approximately and oh gosh I just love the place more and more every time. It's like you know the first time, it's too crowded, you don't really know what you're looking for, you're a bit annoyed and then the second time you're there for a specific reason and somehow you manage to find your way without getting lost three times. And then the third time, you feel good and all cause you can make your way through the crowd cause you start to know where exactly you should go and you've already started taking mental notes on the directions. And then the fourth time you just go there for the hell of it. And you see the huge, lit christmas tree and all the tourists (and parisians, actual ones, yes they do exist!) and all the shops, the clothes, the perfumes... How can you say no?!? So you go up to the second floor (''Contemporary fashion'') and you turn right after the escalator because you know that's the quickest way to get to Zara, you grab a few pairs of jeans and two or three sweaters, you go to the fitting rooms to try them on, hesitate for two seconds, don't hesitate at all, you get out of the fitting rooms and see a huuuuuge line and you just feel coool and finally when you get out of the store you find yourself holding the typical blue and brown Zara paper bag and you think about your new AWESOME AND INSANELY COMFORTABLE SWEATER and EVEN MORE AWESOME (AND NEEDED!) AND SURPRISINGLY COMFORTABLE GREY JEANS.
And when you get to the shoe level...that shoe level...those shoes...man I could stay there for hours! It's the most magical place... One of my first must-does when I'm rich. Uhu. Yep.

feel good music
I've been really sick since yesterday, it's horrible I think I came down with the flu, and even before that I wasn't feeling really good, I was pretty depressed (I don't want to sound like a spoiled rich girl who thinks she's depressed when she's a bit sad and uses the word without even thinking about what it means, but I genuinely wan't feeling right and I'm still not great now) but thankfully a great friend of mine was there to listen to me and I got to speak with my best friend so, I feel a bit happier :) And of course, as in every great or bad moment in life, a bit of music came with :) So basically, I've been listening to Paradise by Coldplay for about a week (I love what it's about, it's different than most songs because it glorifies another sort of love and missing some things and I can identify to that) and when I'm not listening to that I'm either listening to Mirror by Lil' Wayne and Bruno Mars or We found love by Rihanna. I just have a problem with that song : why did she speak with a weird and extremely fake british accent at the beginning of the video? It sounds so...spurious! It doesn't fit her at all! It really irritates me so I have to pass it every time I listen to the song on youtube otherwise I just find myself hating on Rihanna :P But apart from that, I absolutely LOVE the video : Rihanna is so adorable and the fashion and the backgrounds and the colors and all are very inspiring and nice to look at.
AND THE BEST PART IS : I found the absolute most amazing channel on youtube... THE CHRISTMAS SONG CHANNEL. aaaaaaaaahhhhhh! I love the holidays' season!

10 things I hate about you
I discovered this movie last year while wandering on youtube because I had nothing better to do and I fell in love with it. It was so...corny! And coooool! It was completely cliche and yet I just couldn't stop watching it! In fact, I even watched it again this year while making dinner, because I had thought of it and I reaaaaally wanted to see it again. I really enjoyed checking out the fashion in the movie like the horrendous yet really fun (it's not meant to be fun or horrendous) prom dress Bianca wears in the end or even Kat's t-shirts throughout the movie... then again, who can blame her? Look at her stomach! Anyways, I just found it funny, and cute, and moooooving and it's so american! One pure ball of american cliche movie! That's what I need right now. I got in a fight today again with a friend, arguing about France and America and...ugh I just want to be there already! I can't stand this country!
So anyways, back to the movie : yes okay Heath Ledger and Joseph Gordon-Lewitt are in it...yes uhum. Yes, yes true. NEED I SAY MORE??? gaaaaah just gaaaah and the scene where Heath sings... Oh! I'm gonna cry! And that'll only be the third time today!
Really though, if you haven't seen it, you should watch it as soon as you can because it's a great old/out of fashion girls movie.

As you may have guessed, I found this amazing this on Polyvore where I can immediately upload my sets to this blog without having to do anything like change sites or something, it's great! So I guess this will help me a lot in doing what I was planning : at first I wanted to create a set with all the ideal-closet-items but then I decided it would be more fun to put it another way and this is what you can now admire (haha). I will try to post these sets as often as possible and still keep the variety of data on this blog (ooh sounds so...geeky) intact.
Kisses!

Little Break
Actually I'd like to try and do something really classy like a collage or something so, I do apologize, but I won't be posting in the next few days, if it isn't for small, quick posts, and I'll try to post next monday about the results of my work. I'll really give it my best try and I hope the wait will be worth it! I won't disappoint you! :P
Have a great evening and a great rest of the week, I will see you soon with some more glamouuuur !
Love!
Have a great evening and a great rest of the week, I will see you soon with some more glamouuuur !
Love!
Wear it well, and it will do you justice!
I received the Spring Summer 2011 Collections French Vogue this week (yes I really don't know why it came that late or even why I received it but anyways) and even though I guess it's a bit irrelevant to talk about the following items now I just had to share what I found! There are so many beautiful things! Ah if only I could just buy stuff now and reimburse whoever it is that I borrowed from later I would just friggin do it already! But since that hasn't been invented yet (or if it has please notify me because I'm gonna be the best costumer ever), I'll just content myself with these beautifuuul images.
The rest is coming after dinner!
Going through the pages and mind-checking what I liked, I realised there were different ''categories'' in which I could put my favorite pairs :
-two-toned:
Sergio Rossi - Fendi - Sergio Rossi
- black & white:
Pierre Hardy - Chanel - Gianvito Rossi

Music time!
Okay so as usual I'm not in bed yet and it's past midnight...you know I really don't think I'm going to be able to stop with this darn habit. Anyways I thought it'd been a long time since I hadn't checked out some new music and I ended up finding some of Taylor Swift's new songs. You know, I really love Taylor Swift. I know people say a lot of things about her and that she's very girly sometimes corny but I think that's the point! I mean I am a big believer in the American Dream/finding your prince charming/making your dreams come true, I'm a big supporter of the whole ''if you go to America then anything can happen'' and what I like is that Taylor embodies that spirit. She's the typical American country girl and she's had such a successful career so far! What amazes me is that she just decides to believe in certain things, she really seems like a straight, nice girl with a few principles to which she sticks and that couldn't be anyone else than herself even if she tried. I admire that so much. You know her music is so different than all the ''fuck/weed/smoke/sex/club'' kinda stuff we get today and still she's so successful and doing so great while stick completely sticking to her style and what she likes...that's...that's really awesome. I think the world needs more people like Taylor. I think she makes you want to believe. And that's really important, especially in times like these. So basically, I love ''Mine'' and ''Mean'' because it just couldn't be more American! :) (I also love her style!)
And on a completely different style, I danced to ''Thriller'', ''Lipstick, Powder and Paint'' and ''Great Balls of Fire'' aaaaaall day long. My rock'n'roll dance evaluation is coming up next week! I need to find an outfit!

Vogue covers
What I also got for my birthday was a subscription to Vogue Paris, which I'm very excited about because I should be getting my first issue very very soon! :D

Anywho, I traced down some of my favorite Vogue covers, from Vogues of all nationalities. Enjoy !

(none of the pictures belong to me, I take everything from blogs on the internet)
I'll post about more of these from time to time.
(I just learned Loulou de la Failaise just died... RIP :( )

Chanel 461
I finished school super early today so I had tons of time to work. Haha. No, I watched Friends. But I'm going to work afterwards I promise!
My mom got me this amaaaaazing nail polish for my birthday and it's really just perfect. It's going to be my nail polish of the year, undoubtedly. I've been wearing it ever since my birthday and I just couldn't love it more. You know why it's great? It's unique, it's subtle yet classy, it's original because it looks like black at first glance but then it reflects a bit of blue-ish thingies and then you get intrigued, yeah! And and and, it stays on really well! I haven't had to retouch it at all and I put it on three days ago or something! Really, great gift.
Also, check out what I found while browsing :

Ah, how can you not love New-York even more every day?

How do you...
stop watching Friends??? Seriously, I mean I watch a lot of TV shows, I watch Antm, I watch Pretty Little Liars (which by the way is supposed to re-start soon, does anyone know when exactly?), Gossip Girl, How I Met and the list goes on and yet I have never found a series to which I have been so addicted than Friends! It's frigging incredible! It's so real! I really wonder how the actors felt like back in the days (haha it feels so old saying that, ''ah back in the days, we used to *something very old-fashion and annoying to hear because it makes you feel like an uneducated spoiled brat who takes everything for granted*!'' when their lives were basically about this show. I mean I don't know, honestly I feel like I would never be able to truly, completely get out of my character. Plus they must have spent so much time with each other, seriously doing the difference between work and their ''real'' life outside of Friends must have been...weird! And who wouldn't want to live exactly like in Friends? Be honest. No one.
Anyways, I'm at season 5 and I am just in love with it.
On a completely different subject : I find myself appreciating reading The Economist more and more each time. What I like about it is that it's not just a ''facts'' magazine, it's goal is to think and make you think about things that are going on which makes it super cool to read because you can basically read it anytime. Even if you read an article about something that happened a week ago, it'll still be interesting. Really, it makes it great, especially considering I'm always one week late when it comes to reading it.
I only have three hours of class tomorrow which is greeaaaaat :D So I think I'm going to go to the Galeries Lafayette and buy the new Prada perfume Candy. I love the scent of it! I tried it on once to see how it went through the day and it smelled fresh and sugary all day long and I think that's really important for a perfume to keep the same smell throughout the day because some don't and then it just feels like you're wearing your grandma's perfume. Only worse. (And I love my grandma's perfume but I mean like the old smelly one. Oh you see.) So anyways, that convinced me to buy it!
I'll be back tomorrow for some more posting :)
Bye!

Models
Okay so I failed to my duty on the second day, probably a world record (keeping in mind I also own the award for stopping a blog after one day) but I'm trying to make up by posting in the morning. Oh yes because here, in this beautiful country (not) in which I live, dumba** France, we have school on saturday. So don't worry, I'm up!
Anyways, I just wanted to make a quick comment on Wednesday's episode of ANTM. I know this season is supposed to be about All Stars and all but I mean they're still models no? I'm really not sure about how I feel seeing them singing and recording and having a music video and all I don't know it's like...Tyra trying to achieve her long life dream (of being a singer as well as everything else in the entertainments business) through the girls. I mean sure the girls WANT to be all stars but does being an all star mean you have to be able to sing/dance/act while still keeping your model status? I'm not too sure. It's great that they do all these things that may or may not prepare them for a future job but I really think Tyra should focus more on the modeling side. Models nowadays don't need to be anything more than themselves to succeed : look at Karlie Kloss, Erin Wasson, Daria Verbowy, Snejana Onopka...
What do you think? What's your definition of all star?

Intouchables
I just came back from the movies : I went to see Intouchables with my sister, the new genius movie from producers Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache, who also produced Nos jours heureux a few years ago.
It was brilliant. Abslutely brilliant. Who would have thought that a movie with such a tragic, dark screenplay would turn out to make the whole room laugh so much? From the beginning on, to the last scene, you smile, you laugh, you burst out laughing more like! No really, I hadn't seen such a brilliant movie in a long time. You know what was great? It was real. It was funny and light and yet it was so tragic but it made you smile! It makes you want to run outside under the pouring rain, spring like hell until you can't breathe and then lay on the fresh grass for hours just contemplating the sky and thinking about life and love and...you just end up smiling because you feel happy inside. There's a little light. And even though there were some stereotypical things, they weren't so big that they bothered you and they didn't take any of the greatness of the movie away. I'm really tired so my sentences probably make absolutely no sense right now and I'm sure you can find tons of grammar mistakes in just that last one right there but I really wanted to share this with you. It was really just, so refreshing! I loved it, absolutely loved it! I could talk about it for hours haha! But I can't unfortunately, I have to go to bed.
Still remember, it's a must see! I hope even people who don't speak french will be able to enjoy this movie one way or another.
See you tomorrow and good night.

How do you...?
How do you start a blog? Are you supposed to just immediately start talking about, well what you're here to talk about or should you introduce your blog sort of or what? I don't even really know what this blog is to me, I'm not sure yet what I want it to be! I guess it's just a platform that allows me to talk about fashion the way I perceive it. Let's say that.
There are a few goals I'm setting for this blog :
-I'd like to post once a day, not more, not less. If I don't give myself some rules like that I know this blog will be dead in 2 days top. But I don't want to post too much, and it's not like I'll have the time to, because that way if makes me focus on what I really want to say.
- I'd like to talk about fashion, the current trends, the news and everything but with my perspective. So many blogs are coming out nowadays and I just don't want to be yet another fashion-talkabout-wannabe. I'd like this to be fresh, ''sans artifice'' and simple. I would like to post my moodboards here from time to time but the real problem to this is how do I scan them? I don't have a camera and my scanner works half the time. I will have to figure that out.
-Still, I will not only talk about fashion! I like discuss books, movies and such too, I know myself, I will not be able to speak about fashion all the time, as much as I am fascinated by it.
I hope I will be able to keep this blog alive, I really don't guarantee the everyday-posting but I'll do my best. Hopefully, I'll manage to give this thing some shape and get it out there :)
See you tomorrow for my first real post!
Please come back and talk about my blog to friends !
